We want to make sure we're getting data privacy right. Our goal is to make a product that's useful to teachers and respectful of students, and we will continue to prioritize that in how we use the data we collect. Below you'll find answers to common questions about our data privacy practices.

What data does Pangram collect?
We use collected data to provide AI detection technology to teachers. In our dashboard and Chrome extension, we store submitted text in order to show users results and their history of queries. In LMS integrations, we store additional metadata to match submissions to individual students.
How is my data stored and protected?
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard providers to ensure all data is secure and encrypted.
Does Pangram Labs share my data with third parties?
Nope! We never share or sell your data to any third parties.
Your Content
What happens to the content I submit for AI detection?
This content is stored for as long as your account is active. It will be available in the history tab of the dashboard and can be deleted from your history to delete the content from our servers.
Is my submitted content used to train AI models like ChatGPT?
No. Pangram does not train generalized AI models like ChatGPT, and our AI detection technology is based off of a large, proprietary dataset that doesn't include user submitted content.
